INPATIENT DRUG REHAB CENTERS

There are thousands of inpatient drug rehab centers in the US and Canada that offer many different methods of drug and alcohol rehabilitation. Inpatient drug rehab programs offer a facility where recovering individuals live for the entire length of their program. The duration of In-house drug rehab can vary from one month on up to three years depending on the facility. Long-term treatment produces more change and the more comprehensive and challenging programs usually have higher success rates. Also it is important that a rehab focuses on clients physical, mental, emotional and spiritual problems in order to wholly heal from addiction.

Many addicts are afraid to enter residential treatment because they are under the misconception that they might be locked down like jail or strapped in a bed while receiving shock therapy in an ominous looking hospital psych-ward type setting. Inpatient treatment centers are often ranches, really big houses, apartments or old motel and hotels that have been converted into rehab living environments. And while there are rules to follow they are in place for the benefit of the rehabbing clients. You will find that the majority of rehab facilities only accept willing participants and the only penalty for leaving a program prematurely is an extremely high chance they will relapse or receive jail and time in prison if court mandated.

Inpatient drug rehabilitation is the most intensive form of drug treatment. No one ever wants to go through an inpatient rehab, but for some people it is absolutely necessary to successfully recover from their addiction. Inpatient programs offer a foundation of structure and support leading to a stronger likelihood of long term success. In many cases short-term inpatient drug rehab may not be enough treatment for individuals who have severe or chronic addictions to powerful drugs such as heroin, cocaine, crack, methamphetamine, Oxycontin (opiates), alcoholism, and in some cases marijuana.

The success rates of inpatient drug treatment centers vary depending on the individual and the type of treatment received. Comprehensive drug rehabilitation centers that treat the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual problems of patients usually have greater success rates than recovery programs that neglect any of these. It is not always possible to determine the exact amount of treatment necessary for an individual until actual progress is made within a treatment program. Often inpatient programs are viewed as a last resort only when other programs have failed. Residential treatment centers offer real hope and have had much success at restoring lives once inflicted by drug addiction.
