LONG TERM DRUG TREATMENT FACILITIESThere are many different types of long term drug treatment facilities and a wide variety of approaches used. Typically, long term treatment centers are four months or longer. Long term drug treatment is usually done through a inpatient drug rehab center living situation, where individuals stay within the residential treatment center for the entire length of the program, or until they have graduated and are ready to leave the drug rehab center. No one ever wants to go through long term drug rehab. For some people, however, it’s absolutely necessary if they are ever to fully recover from their drug addiction. Drug rehabs that offer comprehensive treatment programs without a set time line usually have better success than drug rehab centers that have predetermined length of stays.
